Webtrend Printing & Direct Mail
Corporate capabilities brochure for Webtrend Graphics Inc., a full service commercial printing company, sophisticated data processing/management, fulfillment and complete direct-mail house services.
The balance of the brochure’s page spread layout positions an elegantly stylized, full-color "selective focus” photograph image juxtaposed to a clean white content page with refined typography. As a consistent format element, the gear like image was then repeated softly in transparent color tones as background art for the testimonial on each page spread.

American Language Institute at SDSU, Brochure & Catalog
The American Language Institute at San Diego State University, (ALI) is an fully accredited institution teaching English as a second language to students and professionals from all over the world. ALI operates within the SDSU’s College of Extended Studies.
The annual brochure catalog contains the complete yearly schedule for each of its major program studies, housing options in addition to a lifestyle guide of the San Diego area available to their current and future students.
The conceptual theme of the design was to take advantage of San Diego’s appeal as a popular travel destination giving the brochure catalog the look and feel of a professional tourism marketing guide with the use of large vivid photographs, a full pastel color pallette as section dividers and a refined balance of the content messaging and imagery to the layout.

Belmont Park Associates
A commercial development brochure and inserts to market a redevelopment site of a 1920’s San Diego landmark. This abandoned beach front amusement park was transformed into a contemporary yet nostalgic shopping and restaurant destination complete with it’s own historic wooden roller coaster located
in Mission Beach. The theme of the design is “The Old with the New” with use of a glossy applied logo identity branding over
the historical amusement images of the 1920’s era. The brochure and inserts were printed on a old-fashioned textured stock to give it a handcrafted feel of the past.

Bank of America Financial Services, Home Equity Series
Bank of America Financial Services (Security Pacific) Home Equity loan product line series received a new complete set of marketing materials conceptually entitling the program “Welcome Home”.
The creative theme of the message and design is “Expand Your Horizons” The program’s identity illustration graphic emphasizes a warm and friendly home along with the many uses a home equity
loan can offer its owner.
The use of a bright bold color palette enhances the design. Five rack brochures extend the program series giving individual attention to each of the five products offered.
Additionally, five direct mail pieces were created for each product to market the program to the customer.

Prater Architects, Branding Identity System
Corporate Branding Identity System for Prater Architects, a full service architecture firm specializing in luxury residential and commercial architectural design and support services.
This new corporate identity system includes a new logo identity design to work within a clean, contemporary grid layout with a sophisticated palette of four interchanging color options for each item’s application.
The website design includes an interactive Flash photographic feature element on the Home Page. The overall design extends the new corporate identity system to work within a clean, contemporary grid.

Bank of America Financial Services (Security Pacific) Consumer Loan product line series received a new complete set of marketing materials conceptually entitling the program “Personal Best”.
The creative theme of the design approach to this series was to contrast the bold colored computer illustrated graphics of “Welcome Home” Home Equity product line series with a more nostalgic hand rendered 1950’s graphic style illustration.
The use of a softer more pastel color palette enhances the design. Three rack brochures extend the program series giving individual attention to each of the three products offered.
Additionally, five direct mail pieces were created for each product to market the program to the customer.

United Water, Branding & Marketing Campaign
United Water is the Boise, Idaho water utility company. Needing a marketing campaign to increase public awareness of the importance of water conservation and make it easier for individuals, businesses, and governments to implement water conservation measures that produce measurable results.
The conceptual approach is based upon the idea that small steps can make a big difference in conservation: It’s easy to save, You have a part to play, and everyone benefits.
This message is supported by a graphic approach to the headline and plays off the common phrase, “...like there’s no tomorrow” on clean white canvas. The program’s brand identity incorporates the symbol for water “H2O” in the form of a happy face.
This original concept marketing campaign approach includes a conservation program branding identity and outdoor advertising campaign for billboards and busboards.

Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health
Federation of Families (for Children’s Mental Health) is a non-profit advocacy organization which serves and educates individuals, families and communities within the State of Idaho.
This original concept marketing campaign includes an outreach poster and expo booth display. The target audience are children, teens, young adults and their families needing advocacy support in the area of mental health and it’s development.
The conceptual approach is based upon the idea that there is a “super hero” in all of us and with a little help and guidance along the way mental health issues can be conquered.
This message is supported with the bold use of photography and a tag line, “Find your power. Join our family of super heroes.”

The Idaho Foodbank Event Marketing
In celebration of The Idaho Foodbank reaching it’s 25th Anniversary milestone of service to those who remain hungry throughout Idaho, a variety of special events were scheduled throughout the year.
Each unique event had a special graphic art theme concepted and design to announce and invite the public to participate. These events included the annual “Empty Bowls” benefit in which each person in attendance selected a hand-crafted soup bowl made by volunteer groups throughout the community.
Another notable event was The Idaho Foodbank’s first annual “Academy Awards” themed benefit. The event theme was promoted by a poster for downtown store-front window displays.
In celebration of The Idaho Foodbank reaching it’s 25th Anniversary milestone of service to those who remain hungry throughout Idaho, a website re-design was needed to complete their new branding presence on the internet.
As illustrated in the Home Page displayed, the 25th Anniversary brand design was implemented to extend the Foodbank’s outreach efforts.

The Idaho Foodbank Holiday Drive Billboard Series
In celebration of The Idaho Foodbank reaching it’s 25th Anniversary milestone of service to those who remain hungry throughout Idaho, a holiday billboard series was concepted and design to communicate a simple yet bold message for the public to make donations to it’s cause.
An original concept of creating the thoughtful words “Give”,
“Hope” and “Care” out of actual food types commonly donated to the Foodbank had extremely positive results as holiday season donations dramatically increased from past marketing efforts.
In addition to the billboard series a 25th Anniversary logo was designed to identify the Foodbank’s quarter century of service to Idaho’s statewide communities.

TimeBank Idaho, Branding, Print & Website
TimeBank Idaho is a time exchange volunteer program that strengthens community by building relationships. It gives access to the time, energy, knowledge and skills of others.
TimeBank Idaho members exchange services. For every hour spent helping someone, members earn 1 ”time dollar”. Thus, the conceptual marketing and advertising message: “Give an Hour. Get an Hour.”
The program’s unique branding identity is in the form of a tree symbolizing community. Additionally, Boise, Idaho is known as “The City of Trees”. The tree top is made of multi-colored “clock face” blossoms which relate to the program’s element of time.The various smaller blossoms give the logo a sense of movement bringing the identity to life.
The branding identity program consists of a conceptual logo, print collateral and a website.
